Those who have abundance and abundance will be especially blessed wherever they give, whether to effort or to worthy people (Deut. 15:10). Remember also the wonderful promise, "He who has mercy on the weak owes the Lord" (cf. Ams. 19:17).
Those Who Need Help
When someone is struggling, provide help and support to the best of our ability. By providing help and support, we can reduce their burden and give them new hope.
HOW DO YOU CHANGE PEOPLE'S LIVES
Donate to someone in a financially rough spot. Look for opportunities to help others through tough times, be they medical or job-related. Even if it’s a small amount of money, let someone know that they matter and that they’re in your thoughts by giving them some cash or a check. By providing financial support in a tough time, you’ll definitely be having a positive impact.
If a person does not want to be given money, respect his wishes and provide emotional support. Don't mistake financial donations for financial dependence.
Those who YOU'VE HELPED
When we give time and attention to others, we show that they are important to us. Take time to talk or gather with family and friends. Listen to them attentively and don't rush to give advice or solutions. Sometimes, just listening and being a good friend is enough to make a big difference.
